வணக்கம். தமிழுக்கும் அமுதென்று பேர்! அந்த தமிழ் இன்பத் தமிழ் எங்கள் உயிருக்கு நேர்! –பாரதிதாசன் We are happy to start our 3rd year of Tamil Palli in Omaha.

Venue:

Thanks to Hindu Temple, we are continuing at the same venue at the same time Saturdays from 10AM to 12 Noon. (Note: The timing for certain classes may change only if we have space restriction at the temple depending on the number of students registered.)

1st Day of class:

Saturday, September 10, 2016 between 10AM- 12 Noon Tentative Calendar

Registration:

All continuing/new students are requested to register here: (Last Date to Register: September 10, 2016) If you are interested to teach Tamil or volunteer your time register here

Minimum Requirements:

Nilai Requirement; We’ll require a proof of age at the time of registration/payment(PP/Birth Certificate). Arumbu Completed 4 years as of August 15, 2016 Mazhalai Completed 5 years as of August 15, 2016 1 Completed 6 years as of August 15, 2016 or Completed Mazhalai Nilai successfully with a recommendation from teacher. 2, 3 & 4 Completed previous Nilai successfully with a recommendation from teacher

Fee:

Thanks to our volunteer teachers and temple, we are keeping our costs same this year to $50 per student for the year. We might make a change to the fee if we have to move out from the temple due to space/time restriction from the temple.

For new parents & students:

We are following American Tamil Academy for course content. You can check their website (currently under maintenance) here http://www.amtaac.org Each Nilai consists of 25 classes of 2 hours each per week with 3 Term Tests and requires 10-15 minutes of studying/homework every day. There will be an "Annual Day" event at the end of the school year ATA prescribed text books and homework books are followed.

Tamil Sangam Fall Picnic 2016

Vanakkam,

Tamil Sangam Picnic has been confirmed and rescheduled on 9/10/2016.  A variety of fun filled activities are in place for you and your family to take part followed by delicious dinner arranged by Tamil Sangam. This is an opportunity to meet new friends and have a nice time.

Schedule

4pm -7pm - FacePainting for all kids ( SPONSORED BY LAWN DOCTOR )

3.00 pm - 3.30 pm - Social Hour - Snack time 

3.30 pm - 5.30 pm - Sports / Activities for all age groups 

5.30 pm - 6.00 pm - Prize distribution & Cake 

6.00 pm - 7.30 pm - Dinner

There is NO FEE charged by Tamil Sangam for this PICNIC.  However, there is a park entry fee of $5 per vehicle charged by the park.  Car pool is recommended.  Please plan to come on time and participate in all the sports & games.

This is your community activity.  Enjoy this opportunity to meet new people and have a fun filled outdoor activity with dinner.

PS: Bring your lawn chairs, bug sprays insect repellents and other game items if you have any and you are also welcome to bring any snacks that you wanted to share. :)
