2015-16 Tamil Palli Registration

வணக்கம். தமிழுக்கும் அமுதென்று பேர்! அந்த தமிழ் இன்பத் தமிழ் எங்கள் உயிருக்கு நேர்! –பாரதிதாசன் We are happy to start our 2nd year of Tamil Palli in Omaha.

Venue:

Thanks to Hindu Temple, we are continuing at the same venue at the same time Saturdays from 10AM to 12 Noon.*

Open House/1st Day of class:

Open House: Saturday, August 22, 2015 between 10AM- 12 Noon 1st Class: Saturday, August 29, 2015 between 10AM- 12 Noon

Registration:

All continuing/new students are requested to register here: (Last Date to Register: August 29, 2015) If you are interested to teach Tamil or volunteer your time register here

Minimum Requirements:

Nilai Requirement Mazhalai Completed 5 years** as of August 15, 2015 1 Completed 6 years** as of August 15, 2015 or Completed Mazhalai Nilai successfully with a recommendation from teacher. 2&3 Completed previous Nilai successfully with a recommendation from teacher

Fee:

Thanks to our volunteer teachers and temple, we are keeping our costs same this year to $50 per student for the year***

For new parents & students:

We are following American Tamil Academy for course content. You can check their website (currently under maintenance) here http://www.amtaac.org Each Nilai consists of 25 classes of 2 hours each per week with 3 Term Tests and requires 10-15 minutes of studying/homework every day. ATA prescribed text books and homework books are followed.

Notes:

Please note that *The timing for certain classes may change only if we have space restriction at the temple. **We’ll require a proof of age at the beginning of the year (PP/Birth Certificate). ***We might make a change to the fee if we have to move out from the temple due to space/time restriction from the temple.
